Marin's 'house of straw'

Now we have some concrete proof that our state truly has no common sense. The U. S. Army Corps doesn't want to delay or stop stirring up toxic dust so they can hurry up and ruin the Hamilton Field runway, the most valuable airstrip in the North Bay. In its place will be put a man-made marsh of sludge, containing God knows what, to create a "fresh" mosquito-infested area.
This situation could be compared to a soldier in battle using his last bullet to shoot himself in the foot. Didn't the beloved Sen. Barbara Boxer spur this planned disaster?
Would you rather hear a few private and emergency aircraft, or battle West Nile virus and a wretched stench?
As Marin County residents, we had all better pray that we don't experience even a modest natural disaster at the wrong time. We're building a house of straw, and the winds will come.
