Prune U The San Mateo Arboretum Society is holding two rose-pruning events next weekend. From 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 7, help prune Central Park's rose garden. Come to learn or to share your pruning expertise. Dress warmly and bring pruning shears and gloves. Heavy rain cancels. January's Tea in the Park is a rose-pruning symposium with Norma and Jack Bennett. In this hands-on seminar, learn to prune a container rose. If you'd like to take a plant home, the cost is $10.
