Description As part of the voter-approved Safe, Clean Water and Natural Flood Protection Program, the Santa Clara Valley Water District is requesting proposals for nearly $1 million in grant opportunities to implement projects that will support cleanup efforts and education and provide access to trails. Priority objectives for the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 funding cycle have been developed and approved by the water district board. For this cycle of grant funding, the district will work with grantees to achieve objectives under Safe, Clean Water Program Priorities D3 Access to Trails & Open Space and B7 Support Volunteer Cleanup Efforts & Education. Additionally, the district is piloting a new mini-grant program to provide seed funding to kick start projects under the D3 Restore Wildlife Habitat program priority. Up to $5,000 will be awarded per mini grant.
